"The monitor in the home environment greatly affects my patients self care and helps me manage patients more effectively."

Dr. Bennett

Many patients, their families, and friends have asked how they can express their appreciation to the Visiting Nurse Association of Mid-Ohio (VNAMO) for the wonderful care they or a loved one received. There are many ways of giving, now and in the future, that help make it possible to provide others with the same compassionate quality care given to you or a loved one.

Charitable gifts help make it possible for VNAMO to fulfill its mission of providing the very best quality home health care to those in need in Central Ohio.

The most popular ways to contribute are by cash, check or credit card. Click here to download the donation form and mail to:

Memorial Gifts
A memorial gift to VNAMO is given in memory of a loved one. The person or family you designate will receive notification of your contribution (with no amount mentioned) and you will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible gift. Many people also make annual memorial contributions in memory of their loved one or to commemorate a special occasion.

In Honor Gifts
In honor gifts are a thoughtful way to observe someone’s birthday, anniversary or special occasion.

Bequests
You might want to join our many friends who have helped through bequests – gifts through their wills or living trusts. A bequest is often the most realistic way for donors to provide a substantial contribution to the VNA in the future. Gifts through your will or trust can be a particular item, dollar amount, or a residual percentage of your estate.

Life Insurance
You can name VNAMO as the primary or secondary beneficiary of a life insurance policy. The tax savings are excellent.

Gifts of Appreciated Stocks, Mutual Funds or Real Property
Donors can deduct not just the original cost, but also any “paper profit” present in the gift, and there are no capital gains taxes due when you give securities. Real estate, mutual funds and other types of property offer the same advantages.

Charitable Gift Annuities
Gift Annuities offer significant benefits such as a new source of guaranteed lifetime income, some tax-free: guaranteed security and a high return; a charitable income tax deduction; partial saving on capital gains tax if you give appreciate stocks; reduce estate taxes and probate costs; and the opportunity to give a larger gift than you may have thought you could afford.

Gifts of Time
In addition to supporting VNAMO financially, many people enjoy investing their time as a volunteer. The Visiting Nurse Association offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, from patient/family care to office work. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more about volunteer opportunities. You can make a difference in someone's life by providing health, hope and healing. Each gift makes a difference.

Thank you for helping us care for those in need. To find out more about VNA programs that benefit from charitable gifts, please call Dana Traxler at 419-522-4969 or e-mail: dtraxler@vnacleveland.org
