VNA Mid-Ohio Hosts Art Fest Date: 8/16/2008 The Visiting Nurse Association of Mid-Ohio (VNAMO) has partnered with the Mansfield Art Center (MAC) and Renaissance Theatre to host the first “Art Around the Block” Art Festival. This event will take place from 10am-6pm on Saturday, August 16th in the historical downtown Carousel District in Mansfield. “Art Around the Block” will offer fun, entertainment and food for all ages. This first time event will feature local and regional artists who create paintings, sculptures, jewelry, glass, pottery, woodwork, fine crafts and photography. Art and entertainment will be exhibited along W. 4th, Street. Hands-on activities will also be available to children courtesy of the MAC. The VNAMO will host a kick off event, sponsored by the Cleveland Financial Group, on Friday August 15th from 6pm-9pm. This exclusive fundraising reception will feature a silent auction and raffle in the Art Works on Main gallery and on the balcony of the VNA office at 105 N. Main Street. Guests of this VIP reception will have the chance to view selected art pieces created by local artists chosen by the gallery paired with live music, wine and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are available for $20 per person. Proceeds from “Art Around the Block” and the kick off event will benefit the Visiting Nurse Association of Mid-Ohio and allow its staff to continue providing excellent in-home nursing care, rehabilitation therapies, mental health services, end of life care, personal care and much more.
